The Bangalore Institute of Technology or BIT as it is known was formed in the year 1979. It is located in Bangalore, or Electronic City/ Silicon Valley of India as it is often called. At first the institute started to offer courses on Engineering in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics and Electronics and Communication. The BIT has always been a premier institute of technology studies.
The Bangalore Institute of Technology also has the credit of starting the first full-fledged Computer Science and Engineering Degree in the state of Karnataka. BIT has also grown during all these years and has also introduced many courses.
The motto of the institute is 'technology for prosperity'. With this motto in mind, the college has seen some mind-blowing growth in the last two and a half decades that it has been functioning. There are many centres in the institute that carry on research on various disciplines and many collective programmes exist between BIT and other institutions, like IISc, N.A.I, etc. For example, the Department of Chemistry of the Bangalore Institute of Technology has been recognized as the latest research centre in the state of Karnataka.

The candidates should be Graduate from any field in any recognized University.

Admission procedure for the program is based on the Common Entrance Test / Aptitude Test and the performance of the candidate in this test.
Entrance Test: Karnataka CET
Post Graduate:
The admission is done on the basis of GATE score of the candidates.
Master of Business Administration
Entrance Examination is held for the admission in this course.
